Jerry Mona, President

Jerry MonaJerry founded Left Brain Marketing in 2000 after a 15 year career with Fortune 500 companies. In 1985, he earned a Masters degree in marketing research from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. From there, he started his career at Coca-Cola Foods (now the Minute Maid Company) where he “learned the ropes” from some of the best in the business. He also established the marketing research department at Mercury Marine, and later served as the Director of Marketing at both Mercury and the Brunswick Corporation. This unique blend of experiences in research and consumer marketing has equipped Jerry to appreciate the needs and challenges of corporate research and marketing professionals.

Jerry is married and is the proud father of three girls who often keep him busy with soccer games, track meets and other school functions.

My personal and professional belief is the same – to simply treat people the way I would like to be treated. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you with your business challenges and to earn your trust.






Jody May, Marketing Research Manager

Jerry Mona Jody joined Left Brain Marketing in 2006 after a five year career with Hallmark where she supported both their offline retail stores, as well as their online gifts business. She brings a wealth of experience in usability, product, and ethnographic research. In 2001, Jody received a Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s A.C Nielsen Center for Marketing Research.

On a personal level, Jody has been a volunteer with the Peace Corps, and more recently with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She lives in Kansas City with her husband and son.

Jody’s intelligence, enthusiasm and dedication have been a tremendous asset to our team.







Christine Thurm, Marketing Research Manager

Jerry MonaChristine, the newest member of our team, comes to us with over 15 years experience in marketing research and direct marketing. After graduating with a Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research in 1996, Christine worked in Hallmark’s marketing research division supporting the Gold Crown Card loyalty program as well as their holiday catalog. She has also worked for PERT Survey Research, Leo Burnett, L.L.Bean, and most recently, Crestline, a promotional products catalog company.

Christine lives with her husband and two children in Maine where, depending on the season, they enjoy hiking, going to the beach or playing in the snow.

Christine possesses that rare combination of analytical skills and strategic thinking ability that is highly valued at LBM.






Jim Janicik, Technical Director

Jerry MonaJim has been with LBM since 2002 and has over twenty years of experience in the area of business information and related technologies. Previously he had been the Director of Market Analysis at SC Johnson. Jim’s expertise is in computer programming, automation and database development. He plays a key role in developing databases and systems to manage tracking studies (such as CSI) in an accurate, timely and cost efficient fashion. Jim received a Masters degree in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University in 1984.

Jim lives in Milwaukee with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid martial artist, practicing Tai Chi, Hsing Yi and other internal martial arts for more than 20 years.

The things “Dr. Jim” can do with computers and programs often amazes me. He has become a highly valued resource to our customers.
